Conrad and Bean donned their Portable Life Assistance Process (PLSS) backpacks that presented oxygen and communications though around the area and donned their helmets and gloves. They depressurized the LM, opened the hatch, and Conrad backed out on to the porch, bit by bit climbing down the ladder.
